Well, three emails and as many weeks later, low and behold, A REPONSE!!

One may find this hard to believe, but being directed to Service Canada by the PMO's Executive Correspondence Officer does not open any new doors or reveal any hidden programs that were not previously available.
Possibly this is no more than one could expect but it's a bitter pill to swallow as a Canadian citizen, to watch billions of tax dollars being thrown here and there, without a single penny reaching your own doorstep.
It would seem that only the rich deserve a bail-out.

Dear Sir
As I see your Economic Action Plan commercials, I must wonder what the air time for a single spot is worth. It does NOT seem like a sensible or helpful use of funds. I will be evicted from my home of 13 years in less than a week. $3000 would prevent this.
I am a 42 year old father. I have been in the telecommunications industry for over 20 years and, until recently, made an above average wage. I have not been employed for over a year. My savings are gone, including my RRSP. I no longer own anything of value and my family has helped me as much as they can.
I realize that you have never faced such hardships and may find it difficult to comprehend what it's like. Let me assure you, this is the most horrible situation that I've suffered in my life.
Is there anything tangible that my government can do for me? Bear in mind that programs designed to retrain factory workers or assist with resume writhing will not save my home.
I am pleading for your help

Dear Sir
The lack of response, even from a member of your staff, could easily be mistaken as a sign of ambivalence. I would hope that this is not the case.
My landlord is holding back on the eviction notice as long as possible, to give me every chance.
The warm weather is bringing bulbs to life in the small garden I have tended for over a decade. It doesn't seem fair that this will be gone by the summer.
I am now working. Within a few short months, I shall find myself back at an income level where I can continue to live in my home. That is, if I'm not evicted in the next few days. With an end to the unfortunate story of the last few years in sight, would it not be tragic to have the book slammed closed now?
I am in contact with Social Services and Lutherwood. Both claim to be unable or unwilling to assist me. Please, I am as desperate as a man and father can be to save my home.

My land lord told me she is going to court Monday morning and that's the end of me.

do you understand what I an saying? Despite finally getting back to work (no thanks to any of your useless programs I must add) my son and I are losing our home.
If you really don't care, at least have the courtesy to come right out and say it. That is if you have any spine at all. Do you?
